Connect about our programs
Counseling that meets you where you are
People with disabilities face many of the same emotional challenges as anyone else, along with some that come with disability itself: isolation, communication barriers, changes in independence, trauma, and grief.
ORI’s counselors adapt each session to how a person communicates, learns, and understands. They use tools that help people name what they are feeling, build coping skills and healthier relationships, and work through hard experiences.
Who we help
Individuals with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities who want support with their emotional health. Some people come to talk through something specific, like a loss, a move, or a hard relationship. Others want ongoing support with anxiety, depression, or stress.
If you are not sure whether counseling is the right fit, call us and we will talk it through.
