As a volunteer of our organization, I agree to abide by the policies and procedures. I understand that I will be volunteering at my own risk and that the organization, it’s employees and affiliates, cannot assume any responsibility for any liability for any accident, injury or health problem which may arise from any volunteer work that I perform for the organization. I agree that all the work that I do is on a volunteer basis, and I am not eligible to receive any monetary payment or reward.

Please note that prior experience is not required to participate in our volunteer program. However, if you have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or in the field of art, we encourage you to share your experiences.

At Opportunity Resources, our art department is dedicated to empowering artisits through the creative process.

Art provides our clients with a powerful means of self-expression, communication, and connection within the community. Each piece they create instills a sense of pride and accomplishment. Additionally, our artists keep 100% of the profit from their art sales, allowing them to benefit financially from their talent. We offer a variety of artistic opportunities, including painting, drawing, digital art, and a unique process we call "three-handed pottery." In this method, an art staff member assists by guiding the artist’s hand on the wheel, enabling them to create pottery of their own design. We’re always eager to explore new forms of art, so guest artists are welcome to volunteer and introduce new techniques and mediums!
