ORI’s Specialized Services Program is a community-based coordinated trans-disciplinary program that provides work support, and residential, transportation and counseling services to persons with disabilities who have sexual problems or sexually-offending behaviors. The first goal of the program is to keep the community safe. The second goal is to provide supervision and individualized treatment to teach individuals to understand and take responsibility for changing their behavior.
The program includes weekly and individual counseling sessions utilizing the most current and effective behavioral curriculum, in conjunction with community supervision and chaperone services by highly-trained ORI staff. Residential services are provided by ORI and full time work services are provided in ORI’s Woodshop, Production and Assembly Division, or Work Crews, and community-based businesses. In addition, educational support is available, e.g., in earning a GED or other educational certification.
